Faust (Margarete)
→ behind-the-scenes photography at Theater Münster
→ For the opera production Faust (Margarete) at Theater Münster, I documented the behind-the-scenes activities in a series of photographs. The result was a photo book showcasing the diversity of people and processes involved in staging a major opera. I took my camera not only to rehearsals, but also to the workshops where costumes were sewn, props were built and stage sets were prepared. The result was a series of impressive portrait and reportage photographs that capture the passion, precision and teamwork of those involved.
→ The publication was available for purchase at the performances and could also be viewed on the theatre's website. The project highlights how photography can contribute to art, culture, and theatre by revealing the work and stories behind a production.
