Young Urban Performances
→ flexible design for the performance art festival
→ The Young Urban Performances festival in Osnabrück offers young artists a stage for contemporary performance art. The visual identity is based on a flexible, modular system. At its heart is the wave, which stands for movement, change and the interplay between art, artists and audience.
→ A unique font was developed for the visual identity, with each character having up to six variants. This brings the logo and typography itself into motion. Communication is based on this principle: artists interpret the wave in drawings, photos, videos and many other forms, which are visible on posters, flyers, the website and social media. In this way, the festival's idea of being a platform for young performance art is also visually reflected. Thanks to the flexible system, the visual identity was able to respond to changing themes in the following years while still maintaining the festival's recognisability.
