→   Motivational sayings and superficial advice are meant to encourage and help us. When such statements are reversed, they often reveal unexpectedly positive, comforting or inspiring messages: Let go of your self-confidence! Give up your pursuit of perfection! Don't be afraid! Beauty lies in your flaws – in the unexpected. The poster comes to life and ultimately contradicts its creator.

 

→   This poster series is inspired by the book ‘Failed It!’ by Erik Kessels (Phaidon 2016). They were presented in exhibitions at HAW Hamburg and at the Reeperbahn Festival and brought to life with the help of augmented reality.
